It is really not an easy task to judge whether it is helpful or not for the complexity of admission. As the paper itself, it can to some extent demonstrate your potential to research, but frankly speaking, american professors may pay less attention to Chinese papers. Comparatively, a good paper in the American Journals (e.g, JMR, JCR) is really a good proof, but you have to know it is much more difficult than in China which will cost you several years. According to my coopertation with american professors, I just find how responsible and devoted to the academic field. And sitting in front of the laptop to read and write the paper with the help of EBSCO and PRoQuest databases has been the work for a couple of months, all day and night. As I read their published papers, I would say you have to admire for the american's spirit of hard working. However, Chinese people tend to copy or reorganize the paper, so it is why american professors always look down upon the students as well as the Chinese academy. And based on the differences that I have experienced, I wish that I could get a good development in the B-school in the US.
