不是偏心喔, 怕解释不好所以想留给NN解释. 其实这题唯一还没有被决定的论点就是为何 which 比 perhaps violent 好. 我的理解是 ,which 在插入语中不限定修饰mood swings 是很清楚的. 但是用形容词短语会有歧意. 歧意在哪呢?

逗号+adj 几种用法:
1.同位语: 放在修饰辞后: He read all kinds of books, ancient and modern
这里修是逗号勤名词是没问题的
但是如果是做状语的话
1. 状语: she grasped my hands, unable to say anything
就不修饰 hands了

结论 形容词短语修是要考虑到句意逻辑关系, therefore, 没有 which 引导从句简洁

Your tip is very helpful. Can I understand it as follows: although it's correct to use the adj. term to modify "mood swings" as far as grammar is concerned, because logically "perhaps violent without being
            grounded in mental disease" can modify both Dr. Frosh and mood swings, ETS says it's less clear to use the adj. term in this particular case?
