One analyst predicts that Hong Kong can retain its capitalist ways after it becomes part of mainland China in 1997 as long as a capitalist Hong Kong will be useful to China; that a capitalist Hong Kong is prosperous; and that Hong Kong will remain prosperous as long as it retains its capitalist ways.If the predictions above are correct, which of the following further predictions can logically be derived from them?
(A) If Hong Kong fails to stay prosperous, it will no longer remain part of mainland China.

我选D，不知道正确答案是什么。

我觉得这是保持金融地位和繁荣是充分必要条件，所以香港回归以后还是会繁荣。

请大牛指教。

中间的一句应该是: a prosperous HK is useful to China.可以推出来循环：retain--->presperous--->useful--->retain capitalism.

A, C, and E are out of scope. The correct answer is between B, and D. In my opinion, D is wrong because according to the passage, only capitalist HK, not any other HK, is prosperous.

资本主义－－－繁荣－－－有用－－－允许保持资本主义

A：不对。香港不保持资本主义，只能得出不能允许保持资本主义，不能得出，香港脱离大陆

B：对。香港保持资本主义，则“－－繁荣－－－有用－－－允许保持资本主义”

C: 不对。经济危机，不会造成负面影响，并没说经济危机是否会动摇资本主义，从而打破平衡。

D：不对。只是一个结论。没说是什么会保持香港继续繁荣，从文中可以看出，资本主义对香港是命根，只有资本主义香港才能繁荣。
