An additional question, thanks!

Is it favorable to those who have got a UK master degree in finance to further pursue a master program of  mathematical finance/computational finance/financial engineering in US?

what i care most is the overseas working experience so US would be the ultimate preferred choice. But i do love the MSF program of Lancaster, I would like to have any of your suggestions on the plan i mentioned above.

I got those offers you mentioned before as well. But I did not apply for Bristol msc economics,finance,and management as Bristol is not famous in finance or business.

Unless you obtain an offer from LBS, I suggest that you go to Lancaster. In addition, City MSc is not worth that high tuition fees. To tell the truth, it is easy to get an offer from City MSc international accounting and finance. But if you really want to try looking for a job in London, you can choose City MSc. But I do not think this reason is persuasive enough to go to City MSc since it is highly possible to turn out to be failure in your job hunting there. No offense, but tell the truth.

I believe he was supposed to be able to obtain offers from those Top 3 business schools in the US in 1998.  

But he eventually chose Lancaster !

Well, since it's quite clear that international students can hardly get a job in UK with an MSF degree, i would like to know more about how this program and the university is recognized in mainland and HK.

Does it have a wide reputation in finance services or industry here? especially among those Investment Banks..

I have no idea about this.

But I know that the personnel departments of those big companies and banks do collect related information such as “Financial Times” Global Top 100  MBA ranking, which is almost the most popular indicator of how good some business or management school is in the world. In addition, in the UK, "RAE (Research Assessment Exercise)" assessment by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) is also a popular and "official" indicator.......... But, your true ability is still more important than the business school ranking.

In addition, more and more Chinese students go to UK for studying Masters courses. So what business and management schools in the UK are strong and good is never ambiguous any more!

Having a good command at math and computation is a great advantage in studying the MSc in Finance indeed.

1. The following estimated time of one-way journey from lancaster to London does not include waiting time:

(1). from Lancaster university's bus stop --Lancaster town's bus stop, and then walk to Lancaster train station---about 35 minutes

(2). from Lancaster train station to London train station-----about 3.5 to 4 hours (sorry, I cannot remember so clearly)

2. "On average", LBS MiF graduates are srtonger than Lancaster MsF's. But in terms of the individual comparison, some outstanding Lancaster MsF graduates can beat a few relatively inferior LBS MiF's graduates, i.e. case by case. Anyway, London Business School is the best in Europe undoubtedly.
