重新看过此题，理解了。

exposed....causes一直都是修饰the people的，do not才是谓语；那么，not so exposed也是修饰those的，与前面的平行。然后就是谓语动词的对称了。

回楼上的，expose本身就有“暴露”和“受。。。影响”的意思，

说回来这题本来结构很清楚啊，意思也明确

'and,conversely,' 前后两个分句结构要对称，表达的意思要相反those对于people，do代替commit crimes
