500字应该够了,重要的是工作与工作间的衔接,整个职业发展的旅程,至于工作职能可以在RESUME里面表现,学到的东西也可以防到其他的一些如ETHICS,LEADERSHIP,TEAMWORK的ESSAY中. 对付那些超短的文章(250),很多地方一笔带过,就不用展开了. 相信学校如果对你大致故事感兴趣,会在面试中进一步了解你的背景.

我想写一个真实的例子，是我有一次做项目，因为公司组织结构的复杂，没有很好地做好本公司和客户上层之间良好的沟通，所以虽然我们项目做得很好，但是结果被竞争对手（搞上层关系）占了先，差点掉了合同。吸取的教训是要搞好各方面的协调，要考虑问题全面。

不知道这样的例子是否合适？因为这里面牵涉到说公司关系复杂，公司的组织结构和沟通有一定问题（I did not live up to my full potential）

会不会让老外反感，或起什么不好的效果？
