so how about the rest 70% of the admitted, get in without interviews?

70% can get in hbs without interview, that seems a bit high.

hbs interviews all the admits and about 25% of all the applicants

after an interview invite, your odds will become 2/3-70%

born in taiwan, raised up by African nany (Nigerian) because of family business, immigrated to Vancouver in 1996, Actively asked to skip language courses and entered  regular courses in high school without any failure (including regular English literature). 2 years (grad11, 12) later got Unconditional offer from UBC, Toronto, Western Ontario, picked UBC as it is closer. Also with BC provincial scholarship (not fully covered for 4 years). Won some national math contests from Honor math courses.(all chinese ppl can do easily though). Got accepted and entered Business major in second year in UBC(highly competitive), after graduation I worked in Royal Bank of Canada--the biggest in Canada. Handling dual postion--Persoanl Banker, and Investment planner(liscensed).  During the training realized that I as the only kid without work expeiernce and the youngest as well.(10 people in that hire, two chinese faces, the other is a married guy mid-30 from mainland china). Achieved all sale goal, to 190% of bank's goal set for me. Had a pretty good performance there. A year later got a career change back to Asia for more challenged work. worked since then for 2 years.

total work experiences: 3 years(will be 4 next August) , 1 in the bank, the next 2 working in Asian as asian sales coordinator, flying btw Taiwan and SH.

GPA: 3.27 low!! GMAT: 710 average, not taking it again. Tons of outside activities. Head of Publications in Chinese ppl clubs. BBS administrator..etc. Lots of Volunteer works(interviewed by local canadian newspapers once)

不怎麼牛, 也不stand out, some international context, any chance? any suggestion?

I also applied for Harvard in the R 1. There hasn't been information ever since I submitted my application fees.

Has anyone from mainland China received or heard others received an interview invitation from HBS?

How did you get the 4.0 scale gpa if you graduated from UBC?  Isn't it a %?
