1) I support part of Harry's idea as it does reflect some truth which is covered by craze, hype and big numbers. He may use some a bit extreme word which get on other’s nerves, but generally those are facts.
2) I figure out that some people here intend to show his ignorance and low-class character by bashing other's opinion without any evidence or reason but rudeness.
3) In my opinion, applicants should consult many graduated Chinese students and get realistic. There is no black and white case, but to pursue a degree in top US school does pay a lot (or shall I say huge, compared to different applicant's background). It is always worthwhile for a second thought and rational analysis. And everyone should ask himself or herself "what you really want in the next 5 or 10years or the rest of your life?". and "Which is the best and most economic way to achieve it?".
Regarding to some specific case like many Chinese girls married ghosts to get........ I don't wanna argue on the percentage, but I did see some. Anyway, I really don't want to judge other's value and motivation purely on myself because you may never understand what a great love behind the cross-culture relationship.
4) B-school requires open discussion and innovative ideas. So if someone want to kill an interesting topic here in the forum, I would suggest he or she should not go to a MBA program (unless they just want to land on America) cause it really doesn't fit. |
