Premise and assumption are different. Premise is the sufficient condition. A-->B, then A is the premise and B is the conclusion.
Assumption is the required condition. For example, in some CR, the argument is A-->B, and ask for assumption. Then assumption C has to be established for A-->B. In another word, if C does not hold. A cannot lead to B.
