真的是少错几道就没事？-GMAT算分机制下的每道必争

本人9月初考了GMAT，730/50/40。但是由于备考时加了很多机构微信号，pyq经常看到炫分截图。其中不乏740/50/40甚至有750/50/40的，更气人的是看到一堆740/50/39的！QV一样总分比我高就算了，哪怕甚至高20分（含泪）；凭什么Q一样V比我低还能总分比我高？
本人两周前将这个问题邮件了官方，今天得到了解答。回复邮件的核心段落是这样的：The GMAT Total score is not the sum of the GMAT Quantitative and Verbal Scaled Scores. Rather, the GMAT Total is a rounded scale score derived from the sum of intermediate Quantitative and Verbal scores. Similarly, the reported Quantitative and Verbal scores are rounded scale scores derived from intermediate scores. Scale scores have the same meaning over time and permit schools to compute averages and other statistics. Because the scale scores are rounded to the nearest whole number, each scale score corresponds to a range of intermediate scores.
For each of your scores on the GMAT exam (Verbal, Quantitative, Total, Analytical Writing Assessment, and Integrated Reasoning), you will receive a percentile rank.  The percentile rank of your score shows you the percentage of tests taken with scores lower than you for the most recent three-year period. Even though your score won’t change, your percentile ranking might change when compared with a newer pool of applicants.

大致意思就是，GMAT的QV算分是经过一个真实值近似的，总分也是由真实值加权得出而非看到的QV分。而QV分的百分比，只是显示那个分数的底层百分比。而考生的QV在那个分数的区间里的真实值变动，其实可能根据当时的答题情况在区间内变动很大。


以笔者的分数为例，最有可能的情况是50/40全都落在了此分数的最低区间附近而得到了730；而相同的Q/V拿50/40得到750的考生应该是全都在各自分数的高区间内。同理，Q和我一样50，V39比我低，总分却比我高的最合理的解释是，Q和V的真实值全都在分数的高区间，以至于即使V就比我低了一点点掉到了V39，Q在区间内比我高很多而把加权总分拉了上去。


通过这个问题我们不难发现，即使数学错了几题Q表面上没掉，依然会拉垮高达20分。相比于V对于错题比较敏感，Q在50-51的范围跨度非常大（Q50 86%，即86%-100%）。笔者希望通过这个事情能够让大家引起一定注意和借鉴作用。

解答了我的疑惑。我是51 38 730   很多人51 38就740.明白了，可能因为我数学是错了一题的情况下51，其他人很有可能数学是全对

wc才知道，厉害啊，所以可以理解为数学 没错 和 错两个非简单题 都是51但是会影响总分吧
