这题的思路

newspapers  S > T             →                     S citizens better informed > T

这是一个削弱题，且有EXCEPT，C，D没什么好说的，都是削弱。答案选E，不选A, B，解释说 The price differential noted in E might help to explain the difference in sales, but it does not undermine the conclusion based on that difference. Therefore, E is the best. Choice A and C both show how great newspaper sales can occur without the average citizen having greater familiarity with the news. Choice B suggests that many newspapers sold in S inform citizens of T, not S.

我觉得很牵强。我的看法，削弱不管是通过什么手法，最后一定要落脚到结论上。既然E只是提出了一个报纸卖的多的原因，并没有落脚到结论上，为什么选E呢？A也是提出了一个贸之卖的多的原因啊，也没有落脚到结论。B也是提出了一个S镇的报纸卖的多的原因，但是这个原因跟A,E不同，就是，它卖了相当一部分给T镇的人，那么对结论，就有较弱的削弱作用了，但是A，E，我觉得很难分清楚谁更对一些。

除了CD之外

B很显然的也是在削弱，说明并不是S比T要被inform的多，所以肯定不选B

A也再说，人口多，所以卖得多，但比方说每百人平均买报纸的数量不一定比T的相对数量高，因此也是削弱

E在说价格便宜，所以买的人多，当然看得就多了，相对来说可以算是加强————肯定是E了

同意, E是加强. 其他都可以削弱. 请仔细在看一下结论当中的比较. E说S的报纸卖得便宜, 不就是解释了为什么S的报纸卖得多吗?

楼上说得也不准确，因为AB是加上也都在说S比T卖得多

还是应该抓住better informed，而不是sell well
