但是，我认为E是重复事实，而A才是正确答案

这题的思路是：much resources to feed livestock → scarcity is not merely a function of limited resources and population growth隐含着一个意思 scarcity has something to do with feeding livestock，那么要反驳养家畜对粮食紧缺造成了影响

如果取非A，not prefer meat → not much resources to feed livestock，则不能推出结论，那么A就是一个必要条件了。

我也选A。题目是要求assumption，为什么要“反驳”呢？
