Manhattan SC说 AS不能加名词?是我理解错了?
第11章习题两个地方了:
题目:填like/as
1. The person in the recording sounds __ a child
2. Frankie never went to law school, but he believes that years of watching Law & Order have taught him to think ___ a lawyer.
答案/解答:
1.The person in the recording sounds LIKE a child.
Use like, not as, to make this comparison because a child is a noun, not a clause.
6. Frankie never went to law school, but he believes that years of watching Law & Order have taught him to think LIKE a lawyer.
Use like, not as, to make this comparison because a lawyer is a noun, not a clause . Moreover, like indicates similarity, but as would indicate an actual ability to function as a lawyer. Who - ever can think AS a lawyer is probably a lawyer.
真心没懂,书中习题也有as 加名词的,以及as a result
是我没读懂“ because a child is a noun, not a clause”的意思,还是书没写清楚?

update:
看了一下曼哈顿论坛的说法……
[size=14.007px]意思就是把自己书中写的推翻咯。书中写是因为lawyer是noun,而论坛回答说的是取意思,意思说的是“类似律师”而不是”的确是律师“(这也是我的想法)。

[size=14.007px]Example 6 is trying to say "similar to" - he thinks in a similar manner to a lawyer, but he's not actually a lawyer. So use "like."
