           5.     长方体长宽高xyz,A是表面积,体积=60,问法忘记了- -  (1)150< A<160 (2)A是even number
           6.    有300个学生的music camp,65%的学生演奏stringed instrument, of play stringed instruments students, the students who play the violin 是那些other than violin的stringed students的两倍,问一共有多少学生play the violin.

           9.     machine A 完成npages需要1/2 time of machine B 完成npages, AB一起工作完成n pages需要3mins, 问machine B 单独完成n pages需要多久?

---------------------------------------------------------------------verbal----------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Borania many people who want to quit smoking wear nicotine skin patches, which deliver small doses of nicotine through the skin. Beginning next month, these patches can be purchased without a doctor's prescription. Although nonprescription patches will be no more effective than those obtained by prescription and will be equally expensive, patch manufacturers are nevertheless predicting that the patches' new nonprescription status will boost sales, which have slowed considerably in recent years.

Which of the following, if true in Borania, most strongly supports the manufacturers' prediction?

A. Most people who wanted to quit smoking and who found the nicotine skin patch helpful in quitting have quit.
B. Nicotine skin patches generally cost more to use than do other types of aids that help people to quit smoking.
C. Several nonprescription aids aimed at helping people to quit smoking have been widely available for a number of years.
D. Many smokers who want to quit smoking feel that they cannot afford to visit a doctor for a prescription.
E. People who use nicotine skin patches have approximately the same rate of success in quitting smoking as do people who use other aids aimed at helping people to quit smoking.

The tree trunks will be used for lumber and the branches converted into wood chips to make fiberboard. The cost of this conversion would be the same whether done at the logging site, where the trees are debranched, or at United's factory. However, wood chips occupy less than half the volume of the branches from which they are made.

Proponents of the electric car maintain that when the technical problems associated with its battery design are solved, such cars will be widely used and, because they are emission-free, will result in an abatement of the environmental degradation caused by auto emissions. But unless we dam more rivers, the electricity to charge these batteries will come from nuclear or coal-fired power plants. Each of these three power sources produces considerable environmental damage. Thus, the electric car_________

Which one of the following most logically completes the argument?

Most cable television companies currently require customers to subscribe to packages of channels, but consumer groups have recently proposed legislation that would force the companies to offer a la carte pricing. Subscribers would pay less, argue the consumer groups, because they could purchase only the desired channels. However, the cable industry argues that under the current package pricing, popular channels subsidize less-popular ones, providing more options for viewers. For this reason, the industry claims that it is always cheaper for the consumer to purchase many bundled channels than to buy them individually.

Which of the following would be most important for the government to determine before deciding whether to require cable television companies to offer a la carte pricing in order to reduce consumer costs?

(A) Whether the total number of channels offered to consumers would decrease, along with programming diversity, as a result of the a la carte pricing structure

(B) Whether advertising revenue for the cable television companies would decrease as a result of the a la carte pricing structure

(C) Whether the vast majority of consumers would greatly reduce the number of channels purchased if given the option of purchasing them individually

(D) Whether cable and satellite companies currently have the ability to buy channels individually from programmers and content providers

(E) Whether a la carte subscribers would be required to have new television set-top boxes

Film Director:  It is true that certain characters and plot twists in my newly released film The Big Heist are strikingly similar to characters and plot twists in Thieves, a movie that came out last year.  Based on these similarities, the film studio that produced Thieves is now accusing me of taking ideas from that film.  The accusation is clearly without merit.  All production work on The Big Heist was actually completed months before Thieves was released.

Which of the following, if true, provides the strongest support for the director's rejection of the accusation?

(A) Before Thieves began production, its script had been circulating for several years among various film studios, including the studio that produced The Big Heist.

(B) The characters and plot twists that are most similar in the two films have close parallels in many earlier films of the same genre.

(C) The film studio that produced Thieves seldom produces films in this genre.

(D) The director of Thieves worked with the director of The Big Heist on several earlier projects.

(E) The time it took to produce The Big Heist was considerably shorter than the time it took to produce Thieves.
