很多不记得了。。。。

1. DS: 划船到一个25 mile外的地方再返回,前半程逆流,后半程顺流 (or vice versa). 问能否知道水流的速度

条件1: 静水划船速度是10mph
条件2: 划船速度是x mph, 水流是x的一个ratio好像是(1/5)




2. PS: 之前寂静有的,求阴影面积,r=5

3. 某个bar code由3部分组成,第一部分是当天日期,第二部分是两个aphabet字母(可以重复),第三部分是两个digit组成。问on a given date, how many different combinations are possible?
构筑思路:由于题目没写不能repeat(考的时候注意一下有没有这个条件), possible combination = 26*26*10*10 = 67600 (全部答案选项都是5位数的)

4. 开车第一段 mpg是x mile per gallon, 第二段是y mile per gallon, 问整个路程平均的mpg是多少
A. 2xy/(x+y)
B. (x+y)/2xy
后面不记得了...

5. 还有 x+x=1那题, 问x=?
A. 1/2*(√5-1)
B. 1/2*(√5+1)
C. 1/2* (√5-3)
D. 1/2* (√5+3)
E. 忘记了
构筑思路:JJ说叫我记住√5=2.23,真的有用。这题其实可以直接代数进去算. 答案应该是A  (0.38+0.62 = 1)

老鼠实验
Most cells have limit in how mahy times the cell can divide, which in terms determine the aging of the cells and the life expectancy. Such phenomenon is caluse by a molecule (p3h12 or similar一个代号), and these molecules are produced by various cells throughout the body of animal。科学家找老鼠做实验,放了一种药可以杀死产生这种molecule的细胞。实验发现老鼠的body tissue的确延缓衰老(aging and detoriation). 但是其他tissue并没有同样的效果,也没有让老鼠更长寿。Neverthess科学家认为这仍然是重要的发现因为可以让身体的某一部分延缓衰老。

Pueblo Rooms
Archeologist used to study Peublo's (Native American resides in southwestern US) lifestyle by studying arrangement of thier room, there several different research methods, including the number of Hearth in the room, orientation of the room and (忘记了..). Recently there is a new way of studying Peublo's room, which is by studying the remains (动物残骸)of animal in different rooms. Different number and categories of remains can indicate different use of the room. This method is an important discovery because it can be used when other research method can not be utilized (意思是研究动物遗骨, 包括他们在不同房间里的数量可以作为一种补充研究手段, 有一题问的是the significance of studying animal remains).

CEO of Advantage, Inc. make a proposal to CFO to release money for a consturction project. Here is the memo:

"Statistics showed that number of rental units in the past 10 years has increased by 4% annually in city X. The occupancy rate in the same periord has remain at 92%. This clearly show that economy is promosing and the attractiveness of city to new residents for next year. Therefore I request you (CFO) to realease funding for our compnay to build two large residential complexes next year. Building this will increase the number of rental units in City X by 4%, independent of other competitor's project. Since the occupacy rates is virtually guaranteed to remain the same. Adding my units next year will increase the profit of our compnay"

顺水行舟 24Mile,逆水返回 24Mile,总共耗时 5 小时,水流速度(逆水和顺水是都一样)R mile/hour,问 R 是多少
a、静止水面行舟速度是 10mile/hour;
b、静止水面行舟速度是 R 的 50%。

和楼楼的版本比,这个版本补充了条件(1),但是他应该是把条件(2)看错了----静水行船速度不可能小于水速(否则逆流就回不来了),综合
以上分析,我觉得此题题目是:
顺水行舟 24Mile,逆水返回 24Mile,总共耗时 5 小时,水流速度(逆水和顺水是都一样)R mile/hour,问 R 是多少
a、静止水面行舟速度是 10mile/hour;
b、静止水面行舟速度是 R 的 5 倍;
(1)(2)都可求出 R=2,因此选择 D

条件(2)的R应该是1/2吧?
