托福107申请S16够用了么？（四大男生）

如题。还是值得把目前到第一轮截止的时间花在文书和简历？

大致够用，但最终还是看整体的package来定。GMAT, GPA, work experience 等等。但到了107问题也不大，建议留足时间给文书。

除非学校有对T总分或者小分有明确要求，否则还是多花时间好好准备其他申请材料，AO看的是Overall package, 而不只是某项成绩

Hey there,
A 107 is enough. It is a bit under the 109/110 requirements that some schools have, but is still good enough. Right now the best investment of your time would be in your essays and application.

Hi Jon,

I have a question about essay style.
The detail is much important in an essay, but the question is how detail is good enough. You know, the fact is many essays have word limits. That is why we have to sacrifice the elaboration and the concision.
For example, my background is technical management. In my essay, do I need detail background info for my project? or can I make assumptions The Reader can understand my background? But again, the problem is where is the line?

Hey JS,
A very good question. The trick is to only have the IMPORTANT detail It’s harder than it seems sometimes. But what is the important detail? First and foremost it is your Actions and the Results. Without these two things, then the rest becomes difficult. Then, it is a matter of prioritizing the things that are most important for Business school - Leadership, teamwork, negotiation skills, international experience, etc. Finally, just as important is anything which will allow you to tell an exciting and dramatic story!

In your example - never make assumptions about the reader! Write for the layman, without any specific terminology. Also, keep on mind that for your MBA, the “Technical” side of the management is irrelevant, and only the management, especially of people really matters.

But really it is a matter of working the essay again and again and again, until it works!
