Hey there,
So first of all, yes you should take the TOEFL/IELTS. You will otherwise limit yourself to certain schools.

Other than that, I’m afraid that M7 will likely be out of range for you. These are the weaknesses I can see in your profile:
- Chinese candidate
- Older
- Low GPA
- Low GMAT (for now)
- Unrealistic goals

The last two ones you can fix. But the first three will make Top10 schools out of range for you. So the best course of action is: first to see if you can get a higher GMAT. Second to open up your school list to schools in the Top 30/40.

You should also reconsider your goals - PE/VC are the toughest industries to get into, and they don’t usually recruit older candidates. Stay in finance, but maybe find another field to target.
