答案给出的是A，我不太理解这道题的用法。求大师指点。谢谢

A:
so 可以指代前方最接近的動作內容。也就是指代「reported high marital satisfaction」
類似用法還有 "do so"

BCD:
more than是用來修飾數量的。
如果要做數量以外的比較，要在more ....than..中間夾比較的基準。
比如more "rapid" than 就是指「快慢」為基準的比較。
什麼都沒有夾，就是比數量。

E：those後面通常用who修飾。且which was關代結構不比A選項直接用句尾比較結構精簡。

建议楼主不要纠结于so，这题是比较题。
比较题的关键时找比较成分，比较成分需要相对应。
方法：通读全句，找出相比较的成分，再去与than后边的内容核对
本句中是两类women比较幸福感
A. than后边是those blablabla，是women相比，正确
B. if they had....不读了，啥东西也搞不清楚，与前文无可比对象
C. when blablabla，无可比对象
D. if。。也无可比对象，且they完全指代前句中women的所有修饰成分，变成了自己与自己相比，改变原文意思，错误
E. satisfaction与women相比，错误
