PRESENTATION :
· Program length : 12 months resulting in a master’s degree from MIT
· MFin is designed to prepare students in a broad range of careers in the financial industry— careers requiring analytical rigor and the ability to innovate around market challenges.
· As an MFin student, you will benefit from full access to both the MIT Sloan Career Development Office (CDO) and the MIT Global Education & Career Development (GECD) Office.
· Tuition fees : $75,850 (you won’t pay the tuition at EDHEC for the MSc, but you will pay the MIT)
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS :
The minimum eligibility requirements to apply for the program are :
· Successful completion of your Bachelor degree and M1 (1st year of your Master at EDHEC) components with a minimum GPA of 14 out of 20 each year
· For MIM students, in addition to the minimum GPA of 14 out of 20 at M1 level, you need to have a minimum GPA of 14 out of 20 (or equivalent) at the end of your Bachelor degree
· GMAT score (average score 690-770) or GRE (Quant range from 163-170 / Verbal 152-164)
· Letter of recommendation
· Cover letter
· TOEFL score
· Interview (for pre-admitted students only)
APPLICATION PROCEDURE-
Students who are interested in the MIT MFin program must first apply through EDHEC.
Required documents :
· Scanned copy of GMAT or GRE score report.
For EDHEC application, an unofficial GMAT score report may be accepted. However, students must send the copy of the official score report upon reception.
· Cover letter in English (maximum 2 pages) : please explain how the MFin will complete your studies at EDHEC, how the MFin program will contribute to achieving your professional career goals.
· Scanned copy of TOEFL score (unofficial TOEFL score is accepted).
· For MIM students only : scanned copy of all grade transcripts from your Bachelor studies; the copy of your diploma will not be accepted.
SELECTION PROCEDURE-
PHASE 1. EDHEC SELECTION
The EDHEC selection Committee will consider and evaluate the student’s applications and determine the students eligible for the MFin program. The results will be communicated to all students shortly afterwards by e-mail and at latest by mid-December of the Gap Year.
PHASE 2. MIT SELECTION
Only pre-selected students (phase 1 selection by Edhec) will be asked to apply directly to the MFin program at MIT Sloan School of Management according to the University’s own procedure.
MISCELLANEOUS-
Up to 2 slots will be offered to EDHEC students.
The MIT credits you earn will transfer back to your degree at EDHEC, allowing you to complete your EDHEC Master in Management degree with no interruption.
Each student admitted to MIT MFin program will pay the tuition fees directly to MIT. EDHEC M2 tuition fees will be waived for all admitted students at the MIT MFin program. EDHEC Excellence mobility scholarships (between 6,000 and 9,000 euros) will be available to support nominated students. |
