To Wharton MBA07,

First of all, greatly appreciate your online introduction about application tonight. Miranda, Julie, Leilei, Kenny and Herbert, you guys are so nice.

I wonder whether you can share some information about Insurance & Risk Management(IRM) concentration. The programme is absolutely the best in the States. However, rarely did I heard about any Chinese student studying on it. um......what I would like to know are:

1. whether there is any Chinese(mainland) applicant who succeeds in getting into/completing the programme. What's his/her background (TOEFL, GMAT, W/E etc.)?  

2. As a BA degree holder, I am particularly concerned about my Math/Quantitive skills. Could someone please explain how much this part weights for IRM major? By the way, I am not going to apply for Acturial, but Insurance and Risk Management.

Thanks for all your online advice for us.

My major in university is civil engineering. I have worked in government for 9 years, mainly on real estate developing. Now I want to leave the government department and join in a consulting firm on the real estate and its related industries.

Would you please help to answer my following questions?

1.       Could you give me some advice on how to explain my career transfer more reasonably and logically?

2.       Does Wharton provide any special course that helps somebody who aims to develop his career on real estate aspects?

3.       What is the percentage of Chinese MBA students of Wharton joined the consulting firms in the US after they finished their MBA program?
