Plantings of cotton bioengineered to produce its own insecticide against bollworms, a major cause of crop failure, sustained little bollworm damage until this year. 这题按书上的答案是选B的。可是我纵观题干，题干最后一句话 So it is likely that the cotton is simply being overwhelmed by corn-bred bollworms. 这儿用了the cotton，这个the cotton 只应该是指第一句话里的 cotton bioengineered to produce its own insecticide against bollworms 所指的这种cotton啊。纵观全文，怎么可能会跑得出符答案B里的那个cotton that does not produce the insecticide这种来呢？用我家乡的土话来讲，不搭介啊。所以就根本不觉得B会对啊。我是哪儿错了？请指点。

首先，做逻辑题的方法是找事实和结论。这道题的事实和结论如下

事实：
-新品种玉米以前防虫能力挺好的，去年变差了
-去年种植了更多玉米，
-玉米可以提供害虫的繁殖环境

结论
新品种玉米遭到很多虫害的原因是玉米的种植量太多了。

问题
哪个选项会帮助推出结论？
解题方法1
如果这个逻辑--新品种玉米遭到很多虫害的原因是玉米的种植量太多了--是正确的， 那么不管老品种还是新品种应该都受到
比以往更大的灾害。正是B想说的。

解题方法2
如果还不太明白，就用我刚才回答的另一道问题的方法，把选项取非。
如果B选项的结果是否定的，就无法得出结论。因此B是推理中的重要条件。

题干想表达的意思就是说：虽然今年这种基因改造过的，能自己产生杀虫剂的棉花也遭受了BOLLWORMS的影响，但并不是说它的抗虫害功能已经失效了，只是因为今年因为玉米产生的BOLLWORMS实在是太多了。 而答案B的意思就是说，看看其他的没有经过基因改造的普通棉花是否遭受了比往年更加严重的BOLLWORMS侵害。 如果答案是肯定了，就能够很有力的证明今年只是因为太厉害了
