Can strong Working Experience offset Low GPA

Hi, just hope to raise a discussion and see if anyone has any ideas.

If I am applying a top but not leading finance master program (Eg LSE, HEC) while having a very strong working experiences, a front office summer analyst role in a BB, summer intern in an international leading hedge fund (10B+). My Gmat is fine (700 with 51 Quant), ECA is quite outstanding (national level sport, a chairman of the university chapter of an international student association and awarded the most prestige scholarship in the school). However, my gpa is pretty low since I am doing double major and the one major is extremely hard and I have honestly minimum passion on it (cGPA: 2.8-3.0, major 3.4-3.5). Do you think this profile will still be taken into consideration. My targeted program is quite keen on job preparation instead of sending people to the academic field.

IMO, you should check whether the programs have specific requirements of GPA. If no, I would say it would be ambitious but definitely worth trying.
Also, just because the school emphasizes post-graduate job placement doesn't mean the admission committee won't prefer applicants with higher GPAs.
So my suggestion is: try to highlight your work experience, technical skills, and leadership trait not only on your CV but in your essays. Also, make sure you'll explain your academic performance well in the "optional essay."

Ich glaube, dass Sie für ein Paar Jahre arbeiten sollten, bevor Sie sich um ein gutes MBA-Program bewerben könnten. Ihre Universität ist wichtig, gelich wie ihre Note. Deshable sollten Sie darüber E-Mails schreiben, warum Sie eine schlechte Note bekommen haben.
