Hello there!
Great to hear from you. So your work experience seems interesting, and I would love to hear more about it, especially about the company you registered. Even if ultimately it didnt work out as you had hoped, its an experience that can be very valuable for B-school!
It’s a bit too early for me to say exactly where you can fit (Especially since you dont yet have your GMAT), and I would need more detail, but let’s say that with a great GMAT you will have lots of options.
As for your MBA application, the timing is a bit tough. If you havent taken your GMAT and need time to study to the end of the year, realistically speaking, you will only be able to apply in 2017 to the schools you mentioned, to matriculate in 2018. If you take the test by year’s end and are interested in some continental programs (like INSEAD, HEC, ESSEC, IMD, IE, IESE, etc) then you will have options, as they have deadlines in Spring.
Since I am a consultant myself, what can I say? I think we do a good job, but it’s up to you to decide if you should do it yourself or with help. I think a consultant can give you a good perspective of what’s out there and of where you might fit, as well as help you with your application materials, but its up to you.
Best,
