Great to hear from you again. And don’t get too disappointed. There’s not much you can do about your UG GPA now. And like you did point out getting a great Masters GPA can help (although not entirely) and a great GMAT is the best thing you can do. This doesn't mean that you should not apply to Top 10 schools at all, but just that you should be aware of the situation, and plan accordingly when you come up with your school list (by adding more schools, applying as much as you can in R1, and adding some safe schools).

So keep your chin up and your eyes set on the stars! (but still: be realistic

for sure! publications are great!  They aren’t the main thing, since you aren’t going for an academic career, but they can for sure help to prove your “smarts”.
