Is watching television bad for children? Many people claim so, on the other hand, many other people argue that some television may benefit children. While I admit that watching too much television is not good, I admit that some program may be suitable for children.

At first place, watching too many television may occupy so many time that the time can be spent on study is limited. Just image that a child spends eighty percent of his spare time on television. The direct result is that the decrease of time spent on school work.. In such situation, it is obvious watching too much television harms the child’s credit in school.

In addition,not all television programs are not suitable for a child. The violent film services as a typical example. Quite many parents complain that they children imitate the violent action showed on the television and become inpatient or violent in their daily live. Under such situation, no one can say violent television program is suitable for children.

Many people may sincerely believe that children should not watch television at all, yet further examination reveals that some television programs benefit children as well. The most striking example of all may be the science television programs. A television program concerning the growth mechanism of the plants can increase a child’s biology knowledge. A program explaining the explosion of the universe helps children understand the world where we live. The list can go on and on, but these would be enough. In such situation, it is obvious that the proper television program provides useful knowledge to children.

In conclusion, neither spending too much time on television nor prohibiting child to watch television should guide the decision in controversies at issues. In stead, the decision should be made on a case-by-case basis, considering the time available and the content of the television program.

What is the most important animal in China? Some people claim that scares species such as the panda was of the greatest value; on the other hand, many other people argue that useful animals such as pigs or dogs are more important. While I admit that scare species are important, I maintain that useful animals also play an important role in people’s daily life.

At first, the scare species are important for the reserve of the species diversity in one area. A case in point is the panda. Once there were thousands of pandas in China, while there are less than one thousand panda all over the world. In such situation, no one can say that there is no need to protect the living environment for pandas.

Many people may sincerely believe that the scare species are the most important animals, yet further examination reveals that the useful animals also benefit human being greatly. The most striking example of all may be the pig. In China, pigs play an important role in people’s daily life. People in China eat meat of the pig as a main resource. And the coat of the pig is used to produce products such as shoes and bags. The list can go on and on, yet these would be sufficient. Under this situation, it is obvious that pigs are important to the daily life of human being.

In addition, useful animals may do great help in some people’s life. Dogs serve as a good example. In many places, dogs are trained to guide the direction for blind person. In such situation, it is obvious that dogs provide great help to the life of blind people.

In conclusion, neither scare species nor useful animals are the most important animals in China in controversies on issues. The decision should be made on a case-by-case basis considering the background and the situation in which we are talking.

Should clean water be saved? Many people claim so; on the other hand, many other people argue that water resource on earth is abundant, so there is no need to save it. While I admit there is much water on earth, I maintain water should be saved.

At first, water is basic for the surviving of human being and other species on earth. The most striking example of all may by that no species can survive without water. Just image that a person does not drink water for more than 7 days. Under such situation, almost no one can survive. It is obvious that water is important to all living species on earth.

In addition, water is also very important for the economic development. For example, water is basic for the food manufacture; water is basic in the iron production; and water services as a main element in chemistry study. The list can go on and on, yet these would be sufficient. In such situation, no one can say water is of no imporatance.

Finally, water resource is limited on earth. For example, though more than seventy percent of the earth surface is covered by water, most of it is ocean water. Ocean water can not be drunk directly by human being and can not service most manufactory directly. In such situation, no one can say water resource is enough on earth.

In conclusion, I hold that water should be saved not only because it is important to human being but also because the water resource on earth is not limited.
