两道新的GMATPrep(TM)上的题

今天做了一套数学，有两道题不明白所以然，请教

1.  if xy=1, what is the value of 2(x+y)^2/2(x-y)^2.

A. 2  B. 4  C.8  D. 16  E. 32  答案：D

我怎么也算不出答案，请教NN们，怎么得出的结果

2. List K consists of 12 consecutive integers, if -4 is the least integer in list K, what is the range of the positive integers in the list K ?

A. 5 B.6 C.7 D.11 E.12 答案：B

为什么不是C呢？

第二题B是对的

因为剩下7个正数，然后7-1=6

我想MM是想到7个正数，就选7 了吧

0不是正数。此题最小的正数是1。

range这里是什么意思？range就是7-1？？？

我怎么觉得新题那么难？还有些奇怪。有同感吗？

range是值域的意思啦！

在这个连续的数列里头最小的数是-4，所以共有-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7这12个数，那么the range of the positive integers 当然就是7-1=6

第一题的题目出错了,正确的是. if xy=1, what is the value of 2^[(x+y)^2]/2^[(x-y)^2].

=>2^(x^2+2xy+y^2)/2^(x^2-2xy+y^2)

=>2^(4xy)

since xy=1

so it becomes 2^4=16

答案是C.
