“1、GMAT考试在我们通常使用的there be句型中，以下几种表达必定错。 (1)there could be done sth. (2)there be sth. done (3)there being +名词词组 (4)there was sth. (抽象性表动作的名词)，如there was a transmission的表达不对。一般来说 GMAT中there be仅用于“某处有某物”，而此物是指一具体名词，如wolf，stone，star，而不是指抽象名词：如conversion，relation等。(其中done代表过去分词)”

在wikipedia的there be词条有这样几条我们需要关注：

第一，there be的意思是存在，有

第二，形式多变：不定式是there to be，一般现在时单数there is，复数there are，动名词there being，一般过去时单数there was，复数there were，现在完成时单数there has been，复数there have been。

第三，当后面有多个名词短语，谓语与最近的名词短语一致。

• there could be done sth.真的必错吗？
  必错。这里的be是助动词，而there be句型中的be是系动词。
• there be sth. done真的必错吗？
  不一定错。首先这个结构没有问题，done是修饰sth.的。可以参考下面的经济学人例句：
  There could be as many as 2m "missing" unemployed Americans excluded from the data.
  上面这个句子使用了could，表示可能有。as many as 2m是数词修饰，Americans是sth.，那么excluded from the data则是done。
  在GMAT考试中，它到底对还是错要根据语义判断是否表达有的意思。
• there being + 名词词组真的必错吗？
  不一定错。there being短语是一个动名词短语，所以表达有的意思就可以用，在经济学人中例句太多了：
  Lots of people would agree to the idea of there being another Scottish referendum.
  上面这个句子的意思就是大部分将会认同有另一次苏格兰公投的想法。
  那么问题来了，为什么在GMAT考试中会认为there being必错呢？以OG2016为例，在第658页逻辑题的解答中写道：The argument does not rely, even implicitly, on there being any difference in the quality of materials used in the two eras...，这里使用了there being
  在704页语法第5题的解答中写道：For there being is awkward and wordy.那么我们对比一下第5题正确选项与错误选项的区别：
  错误：hopes for there being a recovery finally under way
  正确：hopes that a recovery is finally under way
  这两个表达的区别在于意思并不一样，
  错误：对于有终将来临的复苏有希望
  正确：希望复苏终将来临
  我们一对比，就发现用同位语从句的意思是合理的。
  在GMAT考试中，there being并不必然是错的，关键是这个表示有...意思的动名词短语是否语义合理。
• there was sth.(抽象性表动作的名词)真的必错吗？
  不一定错。可以说这个结论毫无依据。还是那句话，看意思。

there be 句型就是一个倒装句型，这里there was a rap ...

我现在也觉得这句话挺扯的....ta说的自然存在的意思就是不是通过人为因素产生的，是天然就存在在那里的...nevermind, 我觉得还是得靠句子意思来，是吧

看了各位大神关于答案的解释，非常佩服
但是有一个小疑惑…A选项中有一个”in part”的插入语，可不可以理解为similarity可以部分被movement解释呢？ 这样的话就不是similarity等同于movement的逻辑错误了……
求指教！

看了前面的答案，觉得都不是很好。考试遇到这个题，仍然会没有突破口。
这道题最快最直接的方法就是：
1.看懂逻辑句意：X可以被解释为人类迁徙活动的产物。X是一个事件，不是一个词。
2.依次看选项，找split点。
AC 都用了be explained as结构。但这个结构本身是错的。as这里作介词用（反推未划线句也是一个没有谓语的phrase），不能完整解释，排除。
BE 的being很显眼。但being用法只有两种，要么进行要么被动，这里都不是。排除。


答案只有D

不好意思 我对B选项的答案解释中还有个疑问: OG说B中one explanation is supposed to be an explanation  ...

跨时空交流下~OG对B选项的解释是--This version of the sentence is syntactically awkward, and leaves unclear what the main subject, one explanation, is supposed to be an explanation of.
应该是说，从句法上有些不明，会让reader对这个选项的主语（one explanation）到底在解释什么感到unclear.

G不上7不改名

看到这题已经是两年之后了，
个人感觉， is explained as：意思是被解释为， 举个栗子  eg：（1） 人的体毛减少被解释为进化
                                                                                       （2）人的体毛减少被解释为进化的结果
A 和D 的意思抽取 ：                A是 similarity 是movement
                                             D是 explanation 是movement
所以应该体现一种因果关系
og的对于A的解释是It should specify that the similarity of artifacts may be a consequence of the rapid population movement.！should！所以和lz的理解是一样的 。
