How do movies or television influence people’s behavior is a hot topic in our society. Different people hold different opinions due to their distinct backgrounds. If I were faced with this question, I would think that movies and television influence our behavior in many ways. In the following discussion, I would like to explain them.
The first and most significant way that movies or television influence our behavior is that we can learn much more knowledge from them. As we all know, movies or television may provide much information in different fields. For example, we can see the Great Wall in Beijing, the laceName>FujilaceName> laceType>MountainlaceType> in Japan and other beautiful scenes in the world without traveling to there; we can witness the international events happening in other countries; we can know the fashion styles prevailing in the society. The only thing we should do is just to push the switch of the TV; we will know the entire world. I think there are no better examples than these ones to demonstrate my point more clearly.
Another head and chief way that movies or television influence our behavior is that we can get more recreation from them. In order to see this, let us see an example: in our fast-paced society, we should endure much pressure and work hard to make both ends meet. Everyday after work, we watch some entertainment programs or some interesting drama series in order to release our stress and let us feel more relax. If you can see this, you can understand it more deeply.
Admittedly, there is no denying that movies or television may also put some negative influences on our behavior. For instance, we will have less communication with our friends and family members because watching movies or television takes up the time that we usually use to talk with our friends or family members.
In sum, taking into account all the factors discussed above, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, I believe that movies or television may influence our behavior because they let us learn more knowledge, get more recreation but have less communication with our friends and family members. |
