Since the deregulation of airlines, delays at the nation’s increasingly busy airports have increased by 25 percent. To combat this problem, more of the takeoff and landing slots at the busiest airports must be allocated to commercial airlines.

(A) The major causes of delays at the nation’s busiest airports are bad weather and overtaxed air traffic control equipment.

的确,A是他因削弱,可是D为什么不对呢?D只是说使起飞降落的时间段增加了一倍,就减少了50%的延迟,但并没有说takeoff and landing slots must be allocated to commercial airlines,因此可不可以这样认为:D说的方法和原文说的方法不是一个方法,但是D说的方法是可行的,也就是说是他因(起飞降落的时间段的数量)而不是 分配给商用航线的时间段的数量 造成的航班延误。这是不是也算他因削弱呢?

但D说的是那个什么什么小机场啊,完全无关的嘛~

是不是选项当中出现的类比信息(类似于本题中的小机场)都应该属于无关?是不是应该排除?

象weaken, support,evaluate等等, 都会拿文章以外的东西来演绎的


无关还是有关,这个,基本上很难~~

I think D doesn't to the point. A obviously is the best answer out of these five. The solution works in a small Midwestern airport doesn't provide adequant evidence that it'll work in all airports. Moreover, D doesn't directly cast the doubt of the solution, so it's not the answer.

我原本和楼主想法一样,也正准备发贴问,但是后来一看题目和选项就明白了D没有削弱作用。

原文的结论是要减少delay->more of takeoff and landing slots at the busiest airports must be allocated to commercial airlines(分配给商业航空公司的更多的slots)

但是D After a small Midwestern airport doubled its allocation of takeoff and landing slots, the number of delays that were reported decreased by 50 percents.是说slots增加了,delay减少了。由于没有说明,那么在总的slots增加的同时,分给商业航空公司的slots可能增加也可能减少。所以不能对原文的结论构成削弱也不能构成支持

但我还有有一些疑问,如果D是说在Midwestern airport doubled 给商业航空公司分配更多的slots,是delay下降了,能支持原结论吗?这种结论是A用B方法能达到目的C,能用选项D用B方法也能达到目的C支持吗?

D is simply support the conclusion, so not the answer.
