逗号不能连接2个句子  最简单的语法

晓得弄糊涂了 各位能不能举个例子？

刚刚看到2个句子

1。pigeons can sense changes in the earth's magnetic field,see light waves that people cannot see,detect,,,,,, ,sense....., and identify familiar odors.

2.the caterpillar of the geometried moth strikes when special tactile hairs on its body are disturbed,after capturing its prey,holds the victim so that it cannot escape.

第一个句子正确 ，第二个句子错误。应该在disturbed 后面加上and   为什么这个时候不能直接holds 和前面stirkes 并列呢？
