If this example is accurate, it is reasonable to conclude that these famous people deserve such high salaries.

Secondly, these famous people deserve such high salaries not only because of their previous endeavors, but also because of their economic value to their employers. If a famous singer shows on a concert, much more people will buy tickets with even higher price, which in turn brings greater profit to the employer running the concert. Therefore, the more famous a entertainer, the more profit he or she creates for his or her boss. Don't you think they deserve such high salaries?
