Some people agree with the idea that schools should ask students to evaluate their teachers, but others disagree. As far as I am concerned, I think that all school should ask students to evaluate their teachers, becasue it is beneficial for students, teachers, and even schools. The arguments for these points are listed follows.
The first reason for my propensity to make this point is that teachers will pay more attention on the learning results students get. If schools ask students to evaluate their teachers at the end of each semester, teachers will know how much students learned in this semester .If the feedbacks are not good, teachers know that they have to improve the teaching method in order to make sure that students can know more in the next semester.
The second reason which is based on the first reason is that students can learn more if the school ask them to evaluate their teachers .It is important for students to learn as much as knowledge they can in the school .If students can't learn more knowledge than can students in other schools, it is difficult for them to compete with other people in the future. Therefore, I think that parents should ask all schools to use an effective evaluation system.
The third reason which is not obvious lies in the fact that it is better for the reputation of the school. If a school use an effective evaluation system, its students will be more completive and knowledgeable than students in other schools which do not apply the evaluation system .Therefore, a school can attract more good students in the future and can get more funds donated by their parents.
Based on the reason presented above, I think that it's beneficial for all people involved in the school which use an effective evaluation system. Teachers will pay more attention on the teaching methods, students will be clever, and the school will be known for its good students and systematic curriculums .Therefore, I support the idea that all schools should ask students to evaluate their teachers. |
