Painting wooden buildings helps to protect them from damage due to weather.

把painting 改 painted 就是错~ 我始终不知道为什么~~ painted 不能跟wooden buildings ?

不看意思，如果是painted,那需要把them改成themselves

如果改为painted，中心词就是buildings了，则谓语应该为help，这里指的是paiting这个动作是主语的中心词
