Classmates are a more important influence than parents on a child's success on school. Agree or disagree.
Children are easy to be influenced by others, classmates or parents. For their success in school, whose influence will be more important? As far as I am concerned, I agree the statement that the influence comes from children’s classmates do much more on their successes in school.
First of all, children spend most of their time in school, studying and playing with their classmates together. That means, a child has a social life in school. On this aspect, other team members, their classmates, will influence them a lot in school time . For instance, when a child is asked by the teacher with a question, if she is alone, maybe she will just say yes or no. But in case she is asked before the class, she will try her best to answer the question better. She wants to be as good as others. Compared with other children’s performance, she is pushed to do things better.
The second, one is interacted more by people in the same age. For example, a child may feel bored when her parents teach her how to exercise in gym. On the other hand, if she does the exercise with her classmates, she will be excited and motivated to get a good result.
It is no doubt that parents also have an influence on children, especially on children’s behaviors of their daily life.   arents can help the children to set up a good manner which will guide them do things suitably and effectively. A case in point, children learn from their parents that they need to say thanks to others when they are offered a help. Thus, parents influence the children to have a nice personal behavior, but a child with a good personality does not means a child with a success in school.
In summary, I believe classmates will give a more important influence to children. Classmates are the hided instructors for children who help them to be successful in school. |
