Did you attend DAK yourself? Which one? And for others on this forum, keep in mind that people tend to exaggerate, generalize, and stereotype. Take everything you read with a grain of salt. And I really don't think Kellogg is as rah rah rah as they say it is, and Chicago GSB students certainly aren't all nerds either.
Oh, I didn't say "rah rah" in a negative way! only that I think they overdit a bit at DAK (I was at DAK-I. Maybe the organizers felt they needed to combat the cold weather outside ). Then again, I also felt that the current students were very proud of their school and you could just sense their energy in the air - a great thing, I would say! I should also add that DAK (the welcome weekend at Kellogg) was one of the best ones I attended, very organized and informative.
I think at any school, there will be some people who are sort of the outcast socially (or in any other way . The vast majority are more or less alike at least in terms of social skills. After all, applying to business school is sort of a self-selecting process. Those who are the true nerds probably wouldn't bother to apply. To survive the corporate world, you have to be a people person.
