From what I can find on Kellogg (2004-2005 data), 30% of the student body is international. Of those, 24% Asia, 17% South Asia, and the rest... I don't know what differentiate Asian & South Asia. Anyway, 30% total is still pretty high, and I don't know how many Chinese students are actually there. Perhaps the numbers are higher than we thought.

my 0.02 opinion is that both Duke & Michigan are very good GM schools. Duke is pretty strong in marketing as well, based on my pre-application research. Don't know much about Michigan as I didn't apply there.

South Asia means India in Kellogg. Last year Kellogg accepted over 80 Indian but only 4 Chinese. Another fact, the dean of Kellogg is from Indian. I think you know why they accept so many Inidan and so few Chinese. I hope these facts can help you decide where to go.

That is such an irresponsible assumption. Why the dean being Indian has anything to do with less Chinese was admitted?? I don't know much about the facts, but from what i heard so far, Dean Jain is well-respected among students and alum. Plus, I think a larger number of Chinese have been admitted into Kellogg this year.

Well, I understand MBA is about an overall expereince. Academic, campus, network, etc... However, the bottom line is to find a good job in the end to pay back what you paid during these two years, not only that 100K tuition plus stipend, but that two years valuable time. So my point is 100% focus on which school can help you to get a good job, regardless how about campus, are there so many beautiful girls, etc....

The reason why almost everyschool hired so few Chinese students in 04 and 05 because we are the least likely people to find decent jobs compared with other natioinalities. India are well accepted in the corporate world in the States, and so so many went to consulting industry. i.e. CEO of Mckinsey is from India. Japanese, Korean,  they don't mind go back their countries or city and find a well paid job.  Chinese due to our language barrier and, to some extent, work expeirence,( our market is just not that well developed, as a result, all those work expereince is not that helpful during the recruiting here) had hard time to find job, especially when the markets are not that good. We dragged school's employment rate down, a lot, that is the reason why they reluctantly to hire more Chinese in the past two years.

Things seem going to Change this year and there is a sign that each school will hire more Chinese this year. Well, considering the huge base of Chinese applicants, and our 1.3billion population, the competition in the job markets still be fierce. And my personal observation, so far is that Chicago will help more Chinese background people to get ready for the reruiting process. Again, this last point is only my personal observation. Good luck.

Precise!!!! ding!!! Chicago is the best choice and try you best to enter IB. we chinese shall have more people work in Top investment giant like morgan stanley. We shall form our chinese gang in those places.

Language Barrier!!! That is exactly what I felt while working in Canada. Indian are more acceptable here cause they don't have language barrier. It is quite easy for them to get H1B or green card. And their religious are more acceptable to the westerns and make them more group close to each other. I knew several indians who are vegeterians and our coworker all feel very sympathy to these guys cause they never eat meat or egg after birth and they never have sex before marriage.   So when an indian guy got married, that became a news in the whole company.

And the indian now are getting very successful in the fields like education, business and finance. Personally I think we chinese shall follow their pace, doing what the indians are now doing, that is what the jewish people already have successfully done.

The good news is from what I had known, there are more and more chinese working in Morgan Stanley.
