从GMAT到面试，一路走来也是相对顺利。在此给大家分享一下申请总结。

首先大家注重的bg:

GMAT 700+
GPA: Second Upper Honors
一份全职一年经验 asset managment
一份corporate finance front office 三月实习
大学是亚洲前五的商学院本科

首先 GMAT 准备:
大概一月开始准备的 GMAT 因为大学本科是英文授课 所以没看太多 G经。准备过程中一共做了以下几套书:
1.  Kaplan GMAT Premier (他家的网模很好 还有很细致的解答 考试前做几套 可以短时间提高)
2. Princeton Review (他家的网模个人觉得不如 Kaplan 因为很多题是重复的 比较好的是 这本书的 verbal 和 quant模拟 分几个难度不同的 session. 大家可以在初期准备的时候看)
3. GMAT Review 13th Edition (这个就不多说了， 大家都知道。没有捷径,我还是觉得要反复做，起码做两便他的verbal. 数学的session 我个人是没有去做的)
4. GMAT Verbal Review 2015 (这个需要做两便，虽然不可能有原题， 但主要是思路， 要熟悉)
5. 新东方 语法精解 （算是让我重新用中文学了一遍语法，我觉得讲得很structured 给的例子都很不错。如果有时间的话 可以读一下 对语法部分有一个比较系统的准备)

各位多多加油 GMAT 总体来说 需要准备一个月 大概每天3到4个小时 LZ 因为平时上班 只能等到周末看看。 另外准备GMAT时 不要单独准备GMAT 阅读不只是做多少道题提高的 思路和速度很重要 建议每天读读 bloomberg/Financial Times 不仅了解时事 （面试时需要）另外可以充分多感受一下作者的构思

然后另一个很重要的环节: 推荐信

这个没有太多好说的。 但是有一点很重要 就是教授要提前找好，因为通常牛逼的教授都很忙，也很难记住每一个学生。还在校的孩子们要抓紧在课上拿个A。只要有A 教授可以给你多推推。另外，要找和申请专业有关的教授。这点在biz school 出来的孩子们有优势 可以找找corp finance 的教授。 如果是engi 的孩子们 最好可以在学校里 拿个什么finance elective 因为要让学校看到你的兴趣 和 努力。 这两点很重要。个人建议最好和教授搭建personal touch, it makes the letter sounds more genuine and convincing.

申请essays:

这是很蛋疼的环节。要憋字憋字再删字。我觉得针对每个问题 大家要抓重点 找自己的闪光点 然后answer要很structure。比如 如果问到你最大的failure是什么 那么就要讲一个简短而精彩的小故事 个人推荐follow STAR structure: situation;action;result. result 很重要. 再比如每个学校都会问为什么选我们, 回答这个问题最好和自己的career goal 联系起来 另外加强对学校的research 找出到底学校program 哪个地方独特吸引你 又可以帮你achieve career goal 比较cliche 的答案比如排名拉 international experience 可以提 但是如果可以和你的亲身经历结合起来 更好不过 。 另外 大家写完后 最好可以找牛逼的好基友帮忙看一下 多多参考牛逼人士的建议 主要包括叙事思路表达方式以及其他

面试:
面试当天 有三个人 一个program director 一个校友 一个教授。 大家轮番问问题
准备过程我主要分成三个部分
1. Resume related questions - focus on why this internship, what did you learn, what was the biggest challenge - remember to focus on WHY part. Don't focus on what you did, the interviewer wants to drill down to what was the result, what change did you make that somehow made an impact and what was your motivation and actions in various situations. again, remember to make your story short and shiny. use star structure when necessary
2. HEC related questions - needs to do intense research on the program, the school and basically everything. Make sure you know the school inside out just like how you prepare for a company job interview
3. Current affair related - need to read news two weeks prior to the actual interview. Interview will focus on your opinion to the current affairs and how you draw connections between different events. Your internviewer may have a different opinion on an issue, don't argue. take the new perspective and be humble. You want to think like one of them, right? that's sneaky. hahah.
面试过程大概会有10到12个问题 大家要掌握好时间 最好把每个问题掌握在两分钟以内 另外很重要的一点就是introduce yourself question - try not to tell your life story, yet your may still follow chronological order. the point is you need to show your growing interest and be smart to lead interviewer to ask follow-up questions that you've prepared.

写在最后。。距离2016年第一批申请的日子就要到了 大家好好努力  remember this, applying for grad school is always easier than applying for a job because you ultimately help the school make money. Be relax, smart and steady.  May odds be in your favor guys.
