Dashasha,

Thank you. Are you in Fuqua right now? I used to go to Fuqua library to borrow econ books and really admired students studying there! Hope you are having a good time at Duke. As far as the chinese restaurants' concern, honestly i don't know many, if not at all - not because i don't like chinese food, there are really very few good ones out there. I used to go to this place close to VA hospital, called "Hong Kong". They serve Dim Sum there every day at lunch time. Or you can have the bad chinese food at Grace's, which is on campus. Grace's located at Trent Building close to central campus.

But there are some good places you can try at Franklin Street! You definitely have to try the Chicken Wing place. They have over 30 different flavors wings! And since you are in the south, you have to try some very southern places. The waffle house, honey's ( you can get a good discount there if you are duke student)..etc.

One last have-to-go place at Durham - "Wimpy's" on Hillsborough blvd. Wimpy has the best best best burger one can ever ask for! It's cheap, juicy, and don't forget to order sweet tea to go with your burger! The place is owned by a ex US Army cook and he is a true believer of beefy burger. So before you leave Fuqua, trying out Wimpy's is a must.

Anyway, sorry that i can't help you much about chinese food. But if you are willing to try different things, there are still some choices out there.

prelude: if you are going to pe and im, yale is a great choice.

i'm glad that you hv noticed the two conferences.  there are alsomany lengendary speakers in pe/im coming to som.  plus, at thehedge fund, endowment and real estate classes, you will meet moreprofessionals working in those areas on daily basis.  it'sunbelievable.

greenbox,谢谢.我不在fuqua,不过有时拜访durham.下次去一定尝尝你推荐的Wimpy的burger,听起来很不错.祝你New Haven之行一切顺利.

Izone,

Looks like you are a current som student and since you mentioned real estate classes, I have some questions for you.  How are the real estate classes at aom?  Do you have any experience with som's real estate club?  What's your suggestion if i am choosing between MIT's master of real estate and som's MBA?  I want to go into real estate development and investment in the future. Thanks a lot in advance!

there is only one real estate class at som i didn't take the class so ican't say much.  goeztmann is a very nice and famousprofessor.  you might also have some interesting guest speakers inthat class.  there are some law , community dev and publicpolicies classes, which also cover this topic deeply.

as to your choice btw mit and yale, i'd say mba is a general businessedu, an eye opening exp for long-term.  maybe there are some morespecific programs to prep you for some hands-on skills for somespecific jobs.  It's a very personal choice between education vstraining, general vs focus, knowledge vs skills.

bluemunich, 决定Cornell还是Yale了吗?我也正在烦ing...为Stern和Michigan.

其实你的选择应该还是比较好作的,抛开了经济的负担和签证的顾虑,完全凭借自己的喜好.我就不得不考虑生活费、奖学金、签证难易等多种非学校因素啊

决定了和我们说一声。Good luck!

I am going to Cornell. Hard decision, indeed but I feel Cornell weights more in terms of a professional MBA program.  Thanks for all your comments at CD.

delphine 18, Michigan is a great school and a friend of mine at Columbia GSB once strongly recommended it to me.  As for visa, some scholarship will probably help the visa application.  As long as you demonstrate your professional excellence and high potential in CHINA, you will be fine. Good luck!

rzydxx3, glad to hear another voice from Cornell. I am not able to  go to DJ this weekend because I am traveling to Europe.  I am looking forward to meeting you at Johnson.
