Well it can help you in the same measure as an MBA. The main difference I would say is that it is not designed for career changes. Usually if you do an MBA, you want to increase your network, pick up new skills and get the prestige of a new degree, and yes, change jobs, but usually in line with what you have done. I’d also say that about 50% of EMBAs are done by people who are sponsored by their companies, and their companies are planning on their advancement.  For the global vision aspect, there are some very interesting EMBAs which take place over several campuses, for example the HLUST-Kellogg program, which are can be very interesting,

呵呵，楼主，一样一样的。 本人35，国外博士毕业，回国工作。 现在想重新出去了，考虑是通过mba的方式。
1，的确，通过mba改方向的确如其他人说的，经济上，位置上都不值，无需多赘述了；
2，的确有很多人不管是自己有才华，或有好的机会，有很高的工资和职位，但是请记住，发生在别人身上的，并不一定能发生在自己身上。  有很多的失败者你没有看到。
3，看一下自己在dow掌握的是哪方面的资源，即真正是自己掌握的。如果是技术方面，长期看不会激烈竞争或者即使激烈竞争但利润很高的，建议回国自己开公司，有很多较发达地区（江苏的县级市）吸引人才，给的自助也比较大，会真心帮助你。 如果是技术方面会很快贬值，那建议你老实呆在美国吧。
4，国内的民营企业比较功,利，是好事也是坏事。如果你掌握的技术和资源确实能给他们带来切实的效益，那名头给你，钱给你。  如果做不到，那所承诺的都是虚的。。。。所以根源在于你是否真的有属于自己的东西。。
5，回国创业或进公司，需要仔细考察国内同类产品市场。避免知识和资源在目前的激烈竞争下快速贬值。
6，目前国内化工行业大环境很差，利润逐年降低，回款逐年变差。但是有特种产品和行业挣钱的，需要看是不是这个行业。。
7，提醒下，带技术回来创业，小心老美的”间谍罪

我mba的主要目的是回加拿大，重新移民回去。。。彷徨一段时间，目标确定了。希望一切顺利，
