Is it better to finish a project completely and then start another project or finish two projects at one time?
As the pace of life is becoming much faster, people concern much more about how to deal with plenty of things. Some may try to do different projects simultaneously, while others will still prefer to focus on one project at one time. From my point of view, I believe both choices have their merits and defaults.
To finish a project completely at one time can provide us with enough time to prepare, to make a thorough implementation, and to ensure the concentration on one thing during a period of time, which is very important to bring out successful results. With this choice, people will have more time to do investigations and analysis beforehand, and this is especially important for those who want to start an innovative work, like doing research at the frontiers in a field. It's very important to know what has been done and what is still to explore. Besides, preoccupation on the things continuously will probably bring about some creative ideas and profound significance.
However, sometimes, we have to choose to do two projects or more at one time, given the limited time and the imperativeness of the things. We need to make a much tighter schedule and always try to make the best of time, and consequently it may also bring a much more fruitful result than we can imagine. Doing two projects may stimulate the potential instincts that we even cannot believe in ourselves. For example, for many students, preparing for going abroad to further their study, need to prepare different projects for quite a long time. Not only need they study their subjects well, which will determine their GPA rank, they also have to prepare for the language examinations, such as TOEFL iBT and GRE, if they want to go to English speaking countries. While, for many of them, handling these things quite well will help them finally succeed in chasing their dreams.
Well, if time permits, it is much better to carry on one project at one time since it will probably produce desirable result and put less stress on us considered about time. On the other hand, we can still choose to do two projects at the same time if we can handle things really well, since that may bring us more fruitful achievements. |
