Hotco oil burners, designed to be used in asphalt plants, are so efficient that Hotco will sell one to the Clifton Asphalt plant for no payment other than the cost savings between the total amount the asphalt plant actually paid for oil using its former burner during the last two years and the total amount it will pay for oil using the Hotco burner during the next two years. On installation, the plant will make an estimated payment, which will be adjusted after two years to equal the actual cost savings.
Which of the following, if it occurred, would constitute a disadvantage for Hotco of the plan described above?

为什么答案是E？看答案没怎么弄明白。我先来说说我的理解：油价上涨导致了Hotco oil burner价格的下降。Price of a burner=Quantity of oil saved *Price of oil per litre (or gallon maybe?)。现在油价上涨了，但是节约的油的数量还是不变，所以burner的价格也会上升。
另外，我觉得D也是对的啊，沥青需求少了，那肯定oil used for burner也少了，那在油价不变的情况下，price of a burner就会下降。但是为什么D不对呢？
不知道那个地方出错了。还请大神指点！

16楼和18楼的正解。纠结于D的同学是明显搞错了比较对象！
题目说的是未来两年与过去两年的用油量相比呀（between....during the last two years and...during the next two years)，不是未来两年用新机器和不用新机器的油量对比！
换句话说，过去两年的用油量已经是固定值了，那么未来两年用的油越少越好，不管是装了新机器节油，还是生产的少，总之用的油比前两年少就行，最好是一点油不用（一点不生产），那样和过去两年比用油费用的差距最大了。
这个题的OG解释非常清楚，一句话就把D否了。我们不用搞这么复杂的计算，明显把简单问题搞复杂了。（如果D改成了沥青的需求增加了，那才复杂了，但是GMAC不会出现两个同时削弱的选项来让你判断哪一个更能削弱，一定是只有一个可以削弱的选项）

这题的逻辑是在estimated payment上面，就是要提前估算payment，由于是从H的角度出发， 所以D 当对asphalt的需求量减少的时候，是与原来估算相比的，估算的多C公司付的钱多，所以H公司赚到了。同理，对于E， 油价上涨，那么从H角度出发，他们实际上是亏了的，因为他们当时没有想到油会这么值钱。

sell赚的钱=过去买oil的pay — 未来买oil的pay
D: demand减小——>未来pay减少——>sell pay增加。是利于Hotoco的方案
E: 同理 price增加则未来的pay增加，会导致sell pay降低。是disadvantage。

“on installation, the plant will make an estimated payment, which will be adjusted after two years to equal the actual cost savings”（之前一直理解安装就估算，估算完了就给钱，所以实在觉得没有一个选项是对的，原来是我脑抽）觉得这句话对我的误导太大了，不造最后一句有什么作用...

现在的理解是：

油价没上涨，H预计能赚：2L x 100元（过去两年）— 1L x 100元= 100 元
油价上涨：2L X 100元（用过去两年的油价）— 1L x 150元 = 50元

然后油价上涨了，两年后按照该公式沥青厂来付钱了，H公司傻乎乎的比预计少赚了50元

最初也错选D，后来想想 save=2年前油耗/件*2年前件数-2年后油耗/件*2年后件数，依据D项，2年后油耗和件数都下降，那么save 自然上升，所以D项是advantage

Hotco will get = amount paid for oil in last 2 years - amount paid for oil in next 2 years

now suppose the plant used 100 liters of oil in last 2 years at a price of $2 per liter....which means the plant spent $200 on oil

the price of oil is steadily increasing

now suppose the plane used 70 liters of oils (because the burner is efficient) in next 2 years at a price of $2.30 per liter....which means the plant will spend $161 on oil

Hotco will get = 200 - 161 = $39 for its burner which will be disadvantageous for Hotco because of its plan.

題目就不明白什麼意思。好難啊!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

是不是过了太久了。。。
题目上说 payment是last two years 的油费付出-next two years 的邮费付出。
假如现在每台耗油10单位，last two year油价1块，则现在邮费10
不涨价 新机器每台耗油2单位，每台油费2，省8元则hotco赚8元
涨价  仍耗油2，油价2，每台油费4，省6元则赚6元。
等于赚的少了。
主要注意看题目中俩个时间点。
