With some restrictions, as noted below, the following are the only acceptable forms of ID that you may use at the test center:
  assport book* Government-issued driver’s license Government-issued national/state/province identity card (including European ID card) Military ID card
Special Restrictions
- If you are testing in Bangladesh, China (including Hong Kong), India, Japan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, or South Korea, you must present your passport book as your identification.
- If you are testing outside your country of citizenship, you must present your passport book as identification unless:
- You are a citizen of a European Union or Schengen Zone country testing in another of those countries, in which case you may present your passport book, national identification card, or European identity card;
- If you are a resident of Taiwan and testing in Taiwan, you must present your passport book as your identification document. If you are a resident of Taiwan and testing in Mainland China, you can present your Taiwan Compatriot Entry Permit (Tai Bao Zheng) as your identification document. If you are a resident of Mainland China and testing in Taiwan, you can present your passport book or your Entry Permit of Mainland Residents to the Taiwan Area (Ru Tai Zheng) as your identifications document.
- If you are working in Saudi Arabia and are not a citizen, you must present two pieces of identification. You may use your employer-sponsored Iqama Identification along with another form of identification that includes you name, photograph and signature.
-If you are a Tibetan Refugee residing and testing in Nepal, you must present the CTA-issue Green Book and either the official identification letter from the Tibetan settlement officer or other government-issued identification that includes your signature.
- You are a permanent U.S. resident testing in the United States, in which case you may present a passport book OR permanent resident card (green card). For California Test-takers who are ineligible to obtain the GMAT required government-issued ID, must request approval for an identification exception. This request must be submitted at least three (3) business days prior to testing. For example, if you are scheduled to test on Monday, you will need to submit your request for approval no later than the Wednesday prior to the exam. To request approval, please contact GMAT by calling GMAT® Candidate Services at 1-800-717-GMAT (4628) or by emailing GMATCandidateServicesAmericas@Pearson.com . Requests will not be accepted on the date of your exam, nor will the test center be able to make an exception without prior authorization.
- If you are a citizen of Cuba, Iran, Syria, or Sudan you must be able to prove primary residence outside of your country of citizenship prior to testing. |
