虽然后来看解析把题目都搞懂了，但是题干这句话我总是搞不明白，求高人给个翻译什么的
for n=3,15,50,85and97,the nth percentile in height for a given age is the unique height among boys of that age that is greater than or equal to n percent, and less than or equal to (100-n) percent,of heights of boys of that age.
这句话我怎么看都是在说高于某一特定年龄特定高度的男孩的百分比是n%，而低于的百分比是（100-n）%，真心求高人解答啊！！

其实并没有搞懂，太多介词和代词了，傻逼如我19年了还只是搜到了很多年前的帖子～～并没有想通，为什么n后面要加th，根据大家的指点，笨拙的翻译如下，以便给万一有像我一样的菜鸟也在找这个题～：
（特定年纪）高度一栏中的N的百分比表示这个年纪的男孩的特定身高，有n%的那个年纪的男孩（的身高）不小于这个身高，1-n%的男孩（的身高）不大于这个身高

这道题真实太绕了，考试的时候估计肯定答错。
又是percentile,又是概率，身高、年龄、体重，百分比，
有时候题目的数字在表格里面还找不到，还得做近似或者大于等于。太难了

好吧~各方努力之下我终于搞懂了，自不量力的解释一发求指正~这句话是说排在n这个位置（即某一特定高度特定年龄）的男孩身高大于等于n%男孩小于等于100-n%的男孩，也就是说有100-n%的男孩身高大于等于这一特定男孩，n%男孩的身高低于这一特定男孩。。。
