You want to ask the person who knows you the best—don’t worry about who is more senior. So if for example the person is only one “level” above you, but they know your work the best, THAT is the person to ask to write your rec. the better they know you, the more personal (and good) your essays will be. Hope this helps, and good luck! Jon Frank HBS 2005 -- by 会员 JonFrank (2011/8/20 13:07:55)
Hi, Jon
My understanding on the supervisor is the direct report. Most of the B-school are asking for one recommend letter from your supervisor. My question is if there is some reason that I am not able to get a recommend letter from my direct report but someone else in the company who also knows me well enough to write a letter, will it jeopardize my application. Will the school ask me the question why I do not have a recommend letter from my direct report? thanks in advance |
