各大学校拒信文笔大比拼

无聊下，哈哈~因为看到我们学校BBS上一个申经济的同学说tgc上有人对Stanford的拒信的评价说：nice letter，自己今天又正好收到一封拒信，于是突发奇想~

以下摘自UF的拒信，有兴趣的同学们也晒一下各个学校的拒信吧，在这个紧张的申请季happy一下！（谁让他们老是评价我们~我们也有权利评价他们不是~）
Dear XX,

Thank you for your application to the doctoral program in Marketing at the University of Florida. We sincerely appreciate your interest in our program, and your efforts in applying.

The graduate admissions committee has evaluated your application, and we regret to inform you that we will not be offering you a spot in our Fall 2011 class. We received over 100 applications and intend to enroll only a handful of students, so we necessarily must decline many excellent and accomplished applicants.

Please recognize that the decision to admit a student into our program is based on many criteria, perhaps most importantly the fit between the applicant’s interests and those of the faculty. Given the extensive pool of applications, we have simply focused our attention on applicants with a closer fit to our program.

Thank you again for your interest, and we wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors.

我觉得我收到的据信里面，rice的据信是最insulting的，大概说了no potential之类的话.....前阵邮箱满了删掉了，要不然一定拿来奇文共享一下....

Oh, I see. Thanks for your inputs. My guess was just pure guess, no assumptions based. I think then it's definitely not within the Treasury Dept and from what you described, it actually sounds pretty interesting. Good luck!

Unlike others who only says 'cong' and other nonsense, I am just asking real and meaning questions.

I see. Sounds like all you may about to do is hedging positions for oil exposure which is even likely making you in the Treasury Department, right?

shaorubing学长我用中文吧，可能是您论坛留言时不注意句法吧，应该是all I may BE about to do?
嗯，不知道您的猜测根据是什么。倒是提醒我应该多跟招我的traders交流交流。
不过他们HR和学长们说的和您形容的还有点差距。就是做原油，天然气，提炼产品等其他副产品的交易，产品有的是自己的，有的是市场上的。然后做一些在commodity market的衍生品（这应该和hedging相关了）。
具体我要做什么，现在我还不知道被assigned到哪个trading floor跟哪个trader学习，我上班之后会先跑2个月supply chain熟悉情况，然后可能有3-6个月都在trading floor上做ops，剩下时间才是跟着小组做trades，可能要到这个项目的中后期才知道自己被派到哪个交易台了。
您觉得这个和Treasury Dept像不？我可能了解还不够深入，还希望您点拨。

Not yet, guess undergraduate with limited RA experience is just not enough. At least I tried.
Now I will accept my job offer as a trader, and will see how things go. Good luck with your application.
