各大学校拒信文笔大比拼

无聊下，哈哈~因为看到我们学校BBS上一个申经济的同学说tgc上有人对Stanford的拒信的评价说：nice letter，自己今天又正好收到一封拒信，于是突发奇想~

以下摘自UF的拒信，有兴趣的同学们也晒一下各个学校的拒信吧，在这个紧张的申请季happy一下！（谁让他们老是评价我们~我们也有权利评价他们不是~）
Dear XX,

Thank you for your application to the doctoral program in Marketing at the University of Florida. We sincerely appreciate your interest in our program, and your efforts in applying.

The graduate admissions committee has evaluated your application, and we regret to inform you that we will not be offering you a spot in our Fall 2011 class. We received over 100 applications and intend to enroll only a handful of students, so we necessarily must decline many excellent and accomplished applicants.

Please recognize that the decision to admit a student into our program is based on many criteria, perhaps most importantly the fit between the applicant’s interests and those of the faculty. Given the extensive pool of applications, we have simply focused our attention on applicants with a closer fit to our program.

The Marketing Department has completed the selection process for the PhD entering class of 2011. The Department reviewed 143 applications for only 3 open positions. Largely due to this fact, we cannot offer you a position in this year's entering class.

The enrollment rate for the Marketing Department and the entire Program will be below 3%, making this a highly competitive application pool. I want to assure you that your application was given an exhaustive and thorough review by a committee comprised of Departmental faculty.

The selection of new PhD students is always very difficult. The challenge is still greater when the pool of candidates includes a large number of qualified individuals that, like you, have strong academic backgrounds and offer promising research potential. This decision is not a negative assessment of your training, interests, or ability. Nor does the outcome of our current search preclude you from applying again, in the future, to our Program or others within Columbia University.

The admissions committee reviewed nearly 700 applications this year, many with flawless grade point averages, test scores in the high ninetieth percentiles, and the highest honors.  In addition to these quantitative measures we also take into account the varying circumstances of applicants as well as the letters of recommendation.  Most importantly, we evaluate the fit between the strengths and interests of our faculty with the strengths and interests of the applicants.  Because enrollment is limited, we are unable to admit all qualified applicants.
We are sorry we do not have better news for you; however we hope that you will have other good choices.  We appreciate your interest in our program, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

I’m writing to bring you up-to-date on your application.  The faculty has met and reviewed all of the files and made decisions on acceptances.  

I’m sorry to have to inform you that we are not able to accept your application into the program.  Although the faculty were impressed with many aspects of your application, the competition was quite fierce, there were a number of applicants with impressive credentials as well, and we could only accept a few applicants.  

I’m very sorry I could not give you better news.  I do want you to know that I (and all of the faculty) truly appreciate your interest in the program and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
