在网页上很明确有说要 one page statement of personal objectives
这个就是ESSAY，也算是PS

两个问题请教：
1  在官网上面，MS Accounting
中One page essay outlining the applicant's academic interests and goals is required.如果按照一般的PS的格式来写，应该就是满足要求，对吗？

2  在网申中，有关于Essay的要求，即小essay，跟PS类似，或者说essay就是侧重表现你的某一方面如实验，学术或者其他的能力的PS？
引用：Essay: Please attach to the application a brief narrative outlining your academic interests. Include any current or long杛ange interests in research, teaching or other professional objectives.
If you have progressed far enough in your career to have publications or other evidence of scholarly endeavor, please describe these.

为什么要强行地分裂开来理解essay和personal statement之间的差别呢？我觉得应该是一回事的。你看要求来是什么吧。比如有的学校是要问你academic objectives或者career goals. 有的好像就没有明确的要你写什么，那种就应该统称为ps, 好像申undergraduates 就通常是写这种没有规定内容的东西。
反正这些都叫essay

不会的啦。我觉得应该现在算是那里忙完了2011 spring的，开始大规模进入2011 fall的录取。可能那些11月12月就发ad/offer的算比较早的

LZ，关于奖我想说，不知道你看到没有 SCM program page的左下角有一段话：

qualified applicant to this program can receive a Dean's Excellence schlorship of $1,000 and Texas-Resident status, which cover one year is equivalent to $8,600 to$12,400 in savings.

也不知道是不是有这么一回事……

应该是有啊。很多成绩好的同学都是享受州内学生的学费待遇，差不多就一半的咱们国际生学费
