A is 5 times greater than B      technically A=6B, but this usage should be avoided according to mahattan sc guide p256. => Gmat use rarely this to express the relation beween A and B in real test.

A is 500 percent greater than B  A=6B

绝对是5倍。  a is 5 times greater than b. a=5b
做题的时候可能要把a转换成b的变量，所以两个一起就是a+b=6b

大家可以搜艘og 数学部分，这种表达倍数的方法实在不多见，只在gyrfalcon语法 题中出现过好像

这2个是有区别的，实际上 5 times greater than B 是gmat不常用的一种倍数表达法，最正确的表达法  A  is 5 times as great as B
除了用times 外，其他的例如（percent 等）均要加上A=B+5B

Which means 5 times greater than means A=6B

"'x percent greater than' signifies an increase of x percent. in other words, you take x percent of the original quantity and add it onto the original quantity.

'x percent as great as' just means x percent of the original quantity; you just find the percentage, no addition necessary.
1992 assets = N = 1
1993 assets = 1 + 400% of 1 = 5
1994 assets = 5 + 300% of 5 = 20
70% greater than Z, which is bigger than Z (by 70 percent), and
