在LAWYER的分类中  她选的是D    但是我觉得选C

我本人的理由是,如果不是if after using the new seeds to plant crops which are completely free of insect damage, then is will help to support the argument. and if it does work, farmer dont have to use pesticide which meet the consumenrs' need because
consumers prefer vegetables grown with less pesticide.

how about your guys ideas?

选D
C:题目中已经说 highly resistant to insect damage了,题干说是否completely free of insect damage,这对profit没有太大影响

D:如果引进新型crop,pestiside的费用是少了(不用跟以前一样用足够的pestiside杀虫),但是产量减少了,那不就得不偿失了嘛!

我是这么想的。。

c和d各对应了原文里的一些信息。。要推广这个新种子有两个问题:cost和pesticide。。

d对应原文应该是cost的问题,产量如果特别小成本就太高,就没人愿意使用新种子了,但是由于种子已经是highly insect resistant,无论能不能完全抗虫,都满足减少pesticide的要求。。

c对应pesticide的问题。。但我觉得c是说free of insect damage,等于是完全不用pesticide,原文说农民和消费者希望的是减少pesticide的使用,没有说希望彻底不用pesticide。。所以我觉得c就不合适了。。
