I am planning to apply the following real estate master programmes in next year.

1. Cambridge University Mphil in Real Estate and Finance
2. LSE MSc Real Estate Finance and Economics
3. U of Reading MSc Real Estate Investment and Finance

Which one is better for job seeking in UK and Asian?

P.S. I don't have any relevant experiences in real estate industry. I have working experiences in Construction Cost Management and Mortgage Backed Securities.

How about if the Master of Real Estate at U of Reading via flexible distance learning mode?

Is it significantly different from the on campus programme in term of job seeking aspect?

How about if I wanna engage in the real estate development rather real estate investment?

My friend suggested that I should choose the top US real estate programmes like USC, Columbia and Cornell. They have better course structure and better network in real estate development.

It seems that U of Reading is strong in traditional real estate sector like valuation and project appraisal but not investment.

If business background is more favourable to the entrant of real estate investment industry, I do believe that LSE is better than other choices since LSE is stronger in finance and economics.

Upon my almost 3 yr work experience in real estate fund, I can tell u the china market is the most active one in the world. I think u are qualified to be a analyst in acquisition dept.
Most of the person I know in this industry have a US B-school back ground. Coz a lot of REITs are from US.

I wanna work in UK and HK upon graduation. China is my next priority.

My career goal is to work for the real estate fund or securities like REIT, MBS or real estate investment fund.

I have a degree in civil engineering, master in construction project management and master in financial maths & statistics.

I have 4 years in construction field as a civil engineer and cost engineer and 1.5 year in financial industry as a credit risk analyst in MBS.

To be honest with you, I personally think it really depends on what you want to do and what’s your career goal, in my opinion if you decide to find the financial/investment job when you graduate, LSE > Cam > Reading, which is their advantage for sure, and also the location is convenient for you to be exposed for IB jobs in Canary Wharf anyway, if you are going to do the job related with RE development, Reading > Cam > LSE, you could benefit from the comprehensive network in Reading Alumni worldwide which is the key issue when you are doing the business; if you would like to go back to China, Cam > LSE > Reading, reputation is essential in China, nothing special.

I don't know if this is just my personal intuition. I notice that most of them also prefer top US schools to top UK schools in real estate field.
I wanna stay at UK or Hong Kong upon graduation.
